Summer Camp

At Roots and Wings School, we believe that childhood should be filled with wonder, exploration, and joy. Our Nature-Based and Play-Based child care program serves children ages 3–13, nurturing curiosity and confidence through meaningful experiences in the natural world.  

 

This summer, we invite your child to join us for eight themed weeks of unforgettable adventures! Each week features hands-on crafts, outdoor exploration, creative play, and opportunities to connect with peers and our wider community.  Our multi-age camp environment encourages collaboration and friendship across all ages, while age-specific activities ensure every child is challenged and engaged at their own level.

Summer Camp Themes for Summer 2026:

• Week 1 - Building & Bridges : June 22nd-26th

  • Focused on STEAM challenges and engineering concepts alongside crafts, games, and water play​

• Week 2 - Around the World : July 6th-10th

  • Focused on geography and viewing our place on the globe alongside crafts, games, and water play​

• Week 3 - Back to the Woods : July 13th-17th 

  • Focused on trailside wonder, the magic of the forest, alongside crafts, games, and water play. Friday of this week of camp will be an offsite drop off for an ALL DAY woods experience! ​

• Week 4 - Happy Habitats : July 20th-24th 

  • Focused on plants and animals of different habitats around the world, alongside crafts, games, and water play​

• Week 5 - Natural Artists : July 27th-July 31st

  • Nature Art projects and artist studies all week long, alongside crafts, games, and water play​. Friday will feature an open gallery of all our work from the week for family and friends to view. 

• Week 6 - Master Chef : Aug 3rd-7th​​

  • Focused on cooking and baking and creating our own cookbook, alongside crafts, games, and water play​

• Week 7 - Movement and Motion: Aug 10th-Aug 14th

  • Focused on fun ways to movie our bodies from local experts, alongside crafts, games, and water play​
