BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CARE
Roots and Wings is a family
Hear it from our own families, alumni and current.

From a letter from Kristin M: "Over the past few months, seeing the boys settle in... working through the minor adjustments... We know we are in the right place. We feel at HOME at Roots and Wings. The community you have built is strong and so incredible to be a part of. The communication with parents is so gentle, crisp, compassionate and authentic. Forgetting things like rainboots is not presented as a problem to adults/parents or the child. The boys told us, "It's ok if we forgot something, Roots and Wings has extras." The love you instill in the care of our children is teaching them to be more loving and kind to others. The way they talk about school... adventures... and the little things like the loaner items shows us that they feel very secure and safe. We cannot begin to express our gratitude for welcoming our family into R&W, and allowing us to be more present in our kids lives through field trips, activities, family nights... the pictures and the reminders to tie into our town of New Boston, local businesses, and the focus on family time with vacations and seasonal programs. We feel so thankful that our children get to experience so many different learning styles and build relationships with great role model teachers and students. If you ever have a doubt about what you are doing or what you have built, I hope we can remind you how M A G I C A L your school is. We are forever grateful and appreciate all you and the teachers do for the children in our town and this school."
AMAZING! I can’t say enough good things about Roots and Wings. The teachers and staff are all so dedicated, supportive and kind. You can tell how compassionate they are about teaching! I love that it’s a smaller school so the kids can really thrive with their individual needs met.
They are a nature based school so the kids get a lot of outside time, which is great! They also organize trips and family events throughout the year. This past year they organized a sledding and hot coco day. They also did a Thanksgiving day luncheon, and cooked a full Thanksgiving day meal for all the kids and families to enjoy. They plan field trips throughout the year, such as visiting local farms, hiking and a trip to Odiorne Point.
I also love that they do community events. Every Wednesdays the kids get to walk to the local library for story time and arts and crafts.
The facility is so clean and welcoming. The app and real time updates allow for easy communication, and allows you to see what the kids are doing on a daily basis. The photos and videos truly make my day!
